A banknote from a very rare series—N.H.1.
This is the so-called “second batch” of the first series.
In the case of the Insurrection 5-złoty notes, a misconception has taken hold that the first series are significantly more popular than the second ones. This is all due to the first four letters of this series (A–D). As Robert Jadrych described, the long Insurrection banknotes were most likely printed in sets of 4 or 2 at a time, using combined, different copperplate engravings. And the print runs of such groups can vary significantly, as we can see on the first 5-złoty notes.
The last four “first” series (E, F, G, and H) are extremely rare.
This is confirmed by our archives, where, out of over ~50 five-złoty notes featured in our auctions, only one was from the N.H. 1 series.
