Glass stein with tin lid
Elegant, classic beer stein made of pressed glass, equipped with original tin ferrule with hinge and thumb lever. The lid is crowned with a polished, conical cap with distinct facets, typical of Czech production from the 20th century.
The body of the stein is decorated with vertical fluting, which catches the light beautifully and emphasizes the clarity of the glass. The lid mechanism works smoothly, and the tin parts have retained their natural patina, adding to the item's authentic character. The wall shows a 1/4 capacity marking, consistent with the practice of ironworks and metal workshops operating in Bohemia and Germany.
Steins of this type were popular in the Czech and Austrian region, combining the tradition of metal craftsmanship with glasswork. Today, they are valued as decorative pieces in collections, but also as functional vessels with a historical pedigree.
