Austrian sculptor of the 20th century, representative of modernism after 1950. Studied sculpture at the Academy of Applied Arts with Hans Knesl. Many figures depict young people, children as memories of his own childhood. His works are characterized by simplicity and inwardness, many sculptures for churches in Vienna. Many figures like this girl nude are usually depicted barefoot, unclothed or in simple clothing, standing alone or in groups.
