Paris, late 19th century.

Marble, gilt bronze and enamel dials. Strict, rectangular case, glazed on all sides with beveled edges in gilt frames. Base and cover plate in white marble. Gilt front plate, richly engraved and chased with arabesque decoration, two white enameled chapter rings with Roman hours and French month and day indications below, central moon phase in blue with stars and separate month hand. The Brequet hands are blued, additional second hand. The movement is visible on three sides; pendulum on metal spring suspension, fine adjustment above XII. Striking mechanism for half-hour and hour strike on bell. Anchor movement visible in the chapter ring. Good condition, movement not tested. (14101015) (11))
