Ceramic vessel associated with the traditions of the Hutsul region, a mountainous region on the border of Ukraine and Romania. It is famous for its rich decorations and colors, being both a utilitarian object and a work of folk art. It is made mainly in Kosovo, Kolomyia, Pystynia and Kuty. It is distinguished by its semi-majolik technique, where lead glaze is applied to the clay and then decorated with ceramic paints.
