acrylic on canvas, 90 x 60 cm, signed lower right: Jolanta Ziółkowska '26

Jolanta Ziółkowska—born November 16, 1970. A graduate of the Institute of Art at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Cieszyn branch. In 2001, she earned a degree in printmaking (linocut) in the studio of Prof. Eugeniusz Delekta. She also completed postgraduate studies in computer graphics at the aforementioned university in the studio of Prof. Małgorzata Łuszczak. The artist works in painting, drawing, and computer graphics. Her approach is to explore a wide range of themes using diverse techniques. Her paintings sometimes radiate vivid and bold colors, while at other times they feature an almost monochromatic color palette. In the spirit of Pablo Picasso’s words—“If there were only one truth, it would be impossible to paint a hundred paintings on the same subject…”—she engages with popular themes in art, seeking to present them in her own, individual way. The artist’s paintings are held in private collections in Poland and abroad.
