"In my work, I've measured myself several times with combining lace patterns with light, letting their decorativeness dominate. This time it was the form of the lamp, designed by Mark Bimer, that prompted me to take a more minimalist approach to decorative details. The lace here becomes just a starting point for a story of ornamentation, poetry, delicacy and beauty. In the first photos, the lamps looked like luminous pearls floating in the night space, so the title of the work was obvious."

The artist speaks out on important social issues, such as predatory logging, industrial animal husbandry, information wars and post-truth, war traumas, the flood of advertisements and the looming global water crisis. Her best-known project is Harmony - urban art inspired by lace art. In it, the artist searches for basic codes of beauty and harmony, exploring and documenting the 500-year history of the craft.
