Biography
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Painting (studio of Prof. Marek Wlodarski) and Tapestry in the studios of Prof. Eleonora Plutyńska (hand weaving) and Prof. Mieczyslaw Szymanski (tapestry). She received her diploma in 1953.
She participated in National exhibitions of painting and textiles in the country, in exhibitions of Polish Art abroad and in international exhibitions such as: Exhibitions of the Experimental Studio of Weaving, Festivals of Fine Arts in Warsaw, participation in 30 exhibitions of Polish Art abroad and participation in the 1st and 4th (1962, 1969) International Biennale of Fabric in Lausanne; International Triennale of Fabric in Lodz (1975); 1978 - Quadriennale of Decorative Art in Erfurt. The artist was one of the first weavers to use sisal fiber in her works alongside wool. She created a distinctive style of fabric with mostly figurative motifs. She also used ceramic elements and metal in her tapestry works. The artist's works can be found in the National Museum in Warsaw and the Textile Museum in Lodz, among others.
