DC-23d, Black Seal, Hyndman / Saunders. Series: F , Suffix: A.
The well-known "Princess Patricia" note derives its name from the prominent vignette of the Princess, who is the daughter of the former Governor General, The Duke of Connaught. It is not unexpected that this wartime issue features Princess Patricia, as she contributed her name and support to the establishment of a regiment called the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, where she also designed the regiment's colours and served as its Colonel-in-Chief. Finding strictly uncirculated examples can be quite challenging, and PMG's population report confirms this, with only this one graded "65" and with only one graded higher.
