In his unique style, this English thinker explores the issues of religion and propaganda, as well as their (most often) disastrous impact on young people and, by extension, on society and its political system. The language, as usual, is brimming with irony and subtle, witty turns of phrase. The whole book is light and a pleasure to read. The book is closer to an essay, with a touch of scholarly reflection, than to dry treatises where yawning reminds the reader that they haven’t fallen asleep yet. Many of Russell’s observations remain highly relevant today.
