Adam Kozik—painter, architect. He was born in 1972 in Kraków. From 1993 to 1998, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Kraków University of Technology. In 1998, he graduated from the Department of Public Utility Building Design. Adam Kozik has earned a reputation as an architect: his designs sometimes surprise with unconventional and original ideas, but the buildings he designs are consistently functional and user-friendly. The influence of architecture is also evident in Kozik’s paintings, particularly in his creative process and the way he constructs his compositions. At the same time, he makes bold use of color, which becomes a structural element. Adam Kozik’s paintings are full of dynamism, energy, and joie de vivre: the artist tackles themes that fascinate him, such as fashion, cars, and polo. At the same time, he does not hesitate to experiment with form, which sometimes makes the depicted motif difficult to recognize, as it disappears amid the harmony and color contrasts. Adam Kozik is also an active organizer of the art scene, as well as the founder and owner of the Off Frame Gallery, located in the heart of Kraków.
