DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The main element of the presented painting by Edward Dwurnik is the compositionally filling almost the entire plane of the canvas with the building of the headquarters of a military unit of the Polish Army, next to which two women with dogs are walking. The title scene with the soldier in the guard booth and the girl talking to him, although shown in the center of the painting, is lost in the profusion of details characteristic of the artist's painting. The work is rendered in pastel blue-brown colors and touches on the issues of contemporary socio-political life frequent in Edward Dwurnik's work.
