Filip PRĘGOWSKI (born 1973).
Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in the field of art conservation.
Diploma with distinction in the technology of 17th-century Flemish painting under Prof. Józef Flik in 1998.
He is engaged in painting and art theory, and also works as an art conservator. He participates in national and international painting exhibitions. Author of solo exhibitions. Winner of awards and prizes. Member of the Association of Polish Artists.
In 2009 he defended his doctoral thesis in the field of art sciences under the supervision of Professor Jerzy Malinowski at the Department of Modern Art History at Nicolaus Copernicus University. Author of the book Francis Bacon. Metamorphoses of an Image (Warsaw, 2011) and articles on modern art theory. Member of the International Association of Art Critics AICA.
