The sculptor's mastery of the folk artist was achieved by learning on his own. Already as a child he was interested in this kind of art and so, with his work and passion at the same time, he came to create wonderful works. He makes his works by hand using traditional tools, such as steel knives, chisels, axes and saws. The basic material used by the artist is wood. Its type depends on the type of sculpture. He makes large figures and crosses from oak or aspen, while small ones from soft wood, i.e.: linden, alder, poplar or birch.
Mr. Henry's work mainly depicts saints, secular figures, birds and other animals, dying professions and folk dancing and playing bands.
The artist actively participates in open-air events, competitions, exhibitions, fairs, folk fairs and other cultural events presenting his works. He also conducts workshops for the youngest, passing on his knowledge and experience to future generations. His sculptures can be admired in cultural centers and houses, museums, including in Lodz, Wieluń, Kalisz, Opoczno and Kepno.
