Ceramic sculpture "pine cone" by Jan Kutálek (1917-1987). Figurative composition with typical features of the author's work, including expressive stylization and a detailed surface. Surface treatment in the form of colored glaze with an emphasis on the structure of the cone-shaped covering. The sculpture rests on robust legs, the hands are gesticulating open, the face bears distinctive features including an ornamentally designed nose and large round eyes.Kutálk's ceramic work drew inspiration from folk art, mythology and grotesque stylization, making his works characteristic in the context of Czech modern ceramics of the 20th century.
