Kamila Stępniak (b. 1983), graduated from the Wł. Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Design and Interior Design. In 2009 she defended her diploma in the New Product Development Studio under the direction of Dr. Krzysztof Chróścielewski. Kamila's work reveals a fascination with technology, and her paintings are often a juxtaposition of feminine ethereality with forward-looking civilization. Among collectors, her work as a painter is well-known, but her other passion is design - she creates armchairs, chairs and lamps. An extremely interesting project was her thesis - a multifunctional piece of furniture containing a place for work - a desk - and for rest - a bed and seats. She presented it to a wider audience at the collective exhibition "Design Plus Industry" in 2011, and next to her paintings at the exhibition "First Independent Salon of Young Lodz Artists" at Wytwórnia in Lodz in 2014.
