An intimate animal sculpture depicting a pair of wading herons; one bird is crouched, with its beak pointing downward, while the other stands upright on slender legs, with its head raised and beak pointing slightly upward, acting as an observer. The birds are placed on an irregular, textured base imitating natural ground. The entire composition is mounted on a profiled pedestal made of black, veined marble.
