Jean-Marie Guiny (b. 1954 in Versailles, d. 2010) was a French artist, known primarily for his work in printmaking and painting. He quickly gained recognition as a printmaker. He developed innovative techniques, including hand-colored prints. He created his first lithographs and drypoint engravings. His works were published and exhibited in France and abroad. He collaborated with leading European art distributors. He worked in the largest graphic art studios in Paris, alongside such masters as Miró, Tobiasse, and Alechinsky. He held his first major solo exhibitions of his paintings in France (in 1992) and participated in various exhibitions in France and abroad. His works are featured in auctions, and their prices are published on art websites, which attests to his presence in the art market. Although he is not a widely recognized icon on par with some of his colleagues, his body of work in the field of printmaking and his presence on the international art market indicate that he is a recognized and respected artist.
