A sensitively composed genre painting by the Austrian-Czech painter Eduard Kasparides (1858-1926), who became famous as a landscape painter and painter of rural motifs. In the foreground, a young girl sits on a marl wall, dressed in a simple peasant dress, with a natural and direct expression, facing the viewer.
