Feliks Sypniewski studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts (1850-52). Then he stayed around 1857 in Paris, where he belonged to the Polish art colony circle. He settled permanently in Warsaw. He was the author of historical and genre scenes, often anecdotal in nature, attesting to the author's knowledge and erudition, characterized by care in detail and agreement with historical truth. He exhibited at TZSP, and there was a show of his paintings at TZSP in 1904.
