Henryk Uziembło studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under T. Axentowicz and S. Wyspiański, and subsequently at the Academies of Fine Arts in Vienna, Paris, England, and Italy. He painted in oils and pastels—genre scenes, portraits of country girls, and, under the influence of J. Stanisławski, landscapes as well. He was involved in decorative arts, designing stained-glass windows and mosaics, and creating decorative murals.
