A freestanding vertical decorative panel, executed in fresco or tempera on plaster, attributable to the Italian school of the Renaissance period. The decoration extends vertically, with a circular medallion at the top enclosing a heraldic shield. The shield features three dark diagonal bands on a light background, each bearing three small circular or star-shaped motifs. The section below is characterized by large, stylized acanthus leaves in ochre tones that frame a central diamond-shaped lozenge. Inside the lozenge is painted the face of a young man with light hair. The composition is bordered on the sides by wide linear borders in white and red. The fragment retains its original plaster backing, which is of substantial thickness and has irregular, unfinished edges, indicating that it was detached from an architectural wall. No signatures, inscriptions, or manufacturer’s marks are visible on the surface of the work.
