Biography
Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts Warsaw and Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Currently runs the Painting Studio at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Works in painting, drawing, installation, processed photography, performance and film. He has had over a hundred individual exhibitions (including Foksal Gallery, IPS Łódź, National Museum in Lublin, CCA Ujazdowski Castle, MCSW "Elektrownia" Radom). Author of more than 250 polemics and publications from the borderline of theory and art criticism published in leading Polish art magazines and foreign journals (long-time reviewer of New York's NYArts and London's Contemporary). Initiator of the establishment of the Forum for New Art Autonomies active in 2014-2018. Author of numerous polemics fighting for the not/impossible autonomy of art. Vice-editor of the quarterly magazine Aspirations.
