Baroque table cabinet

Body of blackened wood with flame mouldings and carved decorations gilded with gold leaf, mirrors inserted in cartouches. The prismatic base with one drawer rests on legs in the form of three-fingered dragon's claws, above this base two stepped and diminishing lockable compartments, the smaller of which also forms the lid of the central stage in which is inserted a ground mirror with flame-gilt moulding. The middle tier is fitted with an insertion box separating the secret compartment. The upper smaller compartment is covered by a hinged lid. The interior is covered with original hand painted wallpaper. Probably Nuremberg around 1700, dimensions 41 x 42 x 32 cm. Condition 2+

The upper small box also forms the lid of the middle tier, in which a mirror with a gilded ripple moulding is inserted. The middle tier is fitted with a box that separates the secret compartment.
