Lot description
An oriental octagonal table with rich marquetry and mother-of-pearl mosaic, probably originating from the Middle East or North Africa (Syria, Egypt, Morocco). This type of table was traditionally used in luxury interiors as a side table or tea table. The table top is decorated with a geometric mosaic pattern, combining wood, mother-of-pearl and other materials, while the legs are typically Islamic in style with arched elements and decorative inlays. The side panels are also decorated with rich mother-of-pearl decoration combined with contrasting veneer. more photos
