BIBLIA SACRA LATINO-POLONICA. VULGATAE EDITIONIS
WROCŁAW 1771
Eighteenth century Polish Bible from Wroclaw. Polish and Latin bilingual text.
Volume II, containing the Old Testament from Isaiah Prophecy to Book II of Maccabees + the entire New Testament.
Pages 558+524+errata, full leather period binding. (Abrasions, minor binding loss, edges reinforced with metal corners). Title page in reproduction on old paper, rest of pages original. Format 27 x 21 cm, thickness 7 cm. Inside condition generally good- ( traces of old moisture, discoloration of pages in the upper part) A few pages are misplaced - between page 554 and 555 of the Old Testament, the bookbinder mistakenly placed the initial pages of the New Testament, in addition also mixed up - ST 554 is followed by pages from the NT: 41-48, 33-40, 25-32, 17-24, 1-8, then ST 555-558, and then normally goes already New Testament 49-524. Basically, nothing is missing, just the order is wrong.
