Vintages like 2014 have many of their fans. They don't garner excellent reviews at the time of release, but over time they show their value. Those who bought wines young today enjoy their harvest - when less acclaimed vintages prove their class, you already have to pay a lot more for them.
La Mission from the 2014 vintage at the time of its release showed itself to be a medium-bodied wine, with pronounced acidity and firmly defined tannins, as well as great depth of aromas, reluctant to show themselves at the time. Today, it is an intense, extremely complex wine with a multi-layered bouquet, sumptuous, generous. Somehow first growth. Plenty of flavor and pleasure.
54% merlot, 45% cabernet sauvignon, 1% cabernet franc.
