Monumental work of the eminent philologist, lexicographer and writer, Jesuit Gregory Knapius (Knap, Knapski) (1564-1638). His dictionary was compiled in 1621-1632 and consisted of 3 volumes, but each of them is a closed whole, and was published in whole or in fragments until the 18th century. Offered vol. 2 contains a Latin-Polish-German section (from A to Z) and at the end an extensive appendix with personal and proper names (including geographical names). Slight loss of margins of the initial 3 pp and the final 2 pp (restored), two pp damaged with tears (pp. 653-6), otherwise very good condition, impressive binding! Estreicher vol. 19, p. 337.
