Commemorative badge of the “Parasol” Battalion, which originated from the “Agat” and “Pegaz” units and subsequently operated as a Special Operations Battalion of the Kedyw unit of the Home Army’s High Command. The unit’s commander was Captain, and later Lieutenant Colonel, Adam Borys, alias “Pług.”
The badge depicts an umbrella superimposed on a shield mounted on the ribbon of the Order of Virtuti Militari. The design was created by Helena Pietraszewicz-Dubiczyńska, alias “Wrona,” and the first pieces were produced in Warsaw in 1946.
A variant produced by Andrzej Panasiuk’s workshop features transparent blue enamel with a ribbed shield beneath, a clasp fastening, and an umbrella secured with two rivets.
