Cascade wall lamp, designed by Carlo Nason for the Mazzega glassworks in the 1970s. The light fixture consists of a circular metal base with a mirror-finish chrome plating, from which numerous elements made of transparent and textured Murano glass are suspended. These glass components, shaped using a grit-blasting technique to simulate the appearance of ice or natural stalactites, feature elongated and irregular shapes. The cascading arrangement is achieved by attaching the individual glass pieces to thin metal wires of varying lengths, creating a layered, sculptural structure. When lit, the light reflects off the chrome base and passes through the irregular surface of the glass, producing a diffused and brilliant illumination. No manufacturer’s signatures or labels are visible on the exterior of the frame or on the glass.
