The watercolor from 1896 represents a blossoming mountain meadow with a majestic silhouette of a mountain in the background, probably inspired by motifs from alpine or foothill landscapes. The work stands out not only for its compositional balance and sensitive color, but also for its realistic capture of natural details in the spirit of the Marák school. It was the training with Julio Mařák that played a key role in Wolf's artistic maturation and influenced his deep relationship to depicting the landscape as a bearer of mood and changing light.
