Biography
Jan Plaskocinski was a Polish self-taught painter. During World War II he was a soldier in the Peasant Battalions. He has always painted, at first depicting girls in his work, and later showing themes of fantastic gardens with lush vegetation, places and creatures inhabiting them. His works were shown at the I naifs delia Polonia exhibition at La Feluca gallery in Rome in 1973 and in Switzerland at Georges Kasper's Pro Arte Gallery in 1994. Plaskocinski's paintings were used in the film The Rewarded Feeling by Walerian Borowczyk and Jan Lenica.
