Painter and illustrator. He painted mainly watercolors. In 1865 he studied at the gymnasium in Lviv, where he then studied architecture at the Lviv Technical Academy, and from 1874 he developed his artistic abilities under the tutelage of Leonardo Marconi (in 1876-1877) he was an assistant in the department of drawing and modeling), also at his instigation he studied in Vienna for two years. Called up to the army in 1877, he witnessed the Bosnian campaign, which was reflected in some of his later works (Dubrovnik, Lovran, Serbs, Turks). In 1883-1886 and 1890-1891 he was an assistant at the Lviv School (before it was the Academy) of Technology. In the 1890s, he took care of the ailing poet and sculptor Theophilus Lenartowicz; in 1893, he painted a posthumous portrait of the artist in Florence. He participated in the making of Panorama Raclawicka, thanks to the invitation of Jan Styka.
