Carver of 18th century, Table bureau

This exceptional desk is a refined example of 18th-century European craftsmanship. The piece is distinguished by its sinuous, bulging curves and elegant cabriole legs.
It is veneered on all sides with exotic woods and features a sophisticated thread inlay and cube marquetry on its surfaces. The protruding, profiled top with rounded corners is fitted with a recessed red leather writing surface with gold embossing. The desk is also equipped with five drawers and convenient pull-out shelves on the sides, adding to its functionality.
