Bercs (inscription to the right between the edge and the wreath). A hydrostatic weighing was performed to determine the metal's specific gravity; the result — 10.48 g/cm³ — is consistent with silver of approximately 995 fineness. Very rare in silver. Obv.: A farmer plowing a field with a horse-drawn plow under radiant sunrays; in the foreground, abundant harvest – pumpkins, wheat, corn, grapes, apples, flowers, and other crops – symbolizing agricultural prosperity. Inscription above: PAR CENTĪBU (For Diligence). Rev.: Coat of arms of the Republic of Latvia with lion and griffin supporters and three stars above, surrounded by a wreath of oak and grain. Inscription above and below: LATVIJA ZEMKOPĪBAS MINISTRIJA (Latvia. Ministry of Agriculture). This large silver medal was awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture of Latvia during the interwar period for outstanding contributions to agricultural work. The obverse symbolizes the ideal of national productivity through labor, while the reverse bears the full heraldic arms of the Latvian state. The piece reflects the agrarian ethos of the Ulmanis regime and the state’s effort to reward diligence and exemplary farming.
