Henri II-Dressoir

Furniture carved in oak. Three-part composition of the first register, with the middle door featuring the same motif as the other two hinged doors and framed by two panels with plant motifs in relief. These three elements are separated by two attached balusters. The first register ends at each end with a fluted pilaster.
In the second register, the studs and the central mullion are decorated with fluted pilasters and Corinthian capitals, visually continuing the first register and thus ensuring the harmony and balance of the composition.
In the lower part, the back wall is decorated with three plain profiled panels. At the front, to the side of the raised and profiled base, two fine, fluted columns with Ionic capitals support the upper part.
In a remarkable state of preservation and of very fine workmanship, this piece of furniture is a perfect example of French work from the first half of the 16th century. Its perfectly thought-out architecture, the beautiful harmony of its proportions and the simplicity of its decoration make it a piece of furniture of great elegance.

In remarkable condition and of very fine craftsmanship, this piece of furniture is a perfect example of French work from the first half of the 16th century. Its perfectly elaborate architecture, beautiful harmonious proportions and the simple decoration make it a piece of furniture of great elegance.
