Donald Solo (Smile 1919 - 2010 Warsaw) - painter and architect, colonel in the Polish Army. Solo's dominant creative motif is landscapes with muted colors and expressive brushstrokes. He also painted still lifes. He had a taste for oil painting, but was also involved in linocut.
