Jozef Popczyk (Brzeziny 1890-1971 Chorzow) - graduated in architecture from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute. He traveled to Paris in 1910 and 1920, and also traveled to Venice and England, where he deepened his painting studies. At first he painted post-impressionist landscapes, then turned to cubism and abstraction.
