The painting took part in the Art&Business magazine's "Image of the Year" competition (2004).

Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where in 1999 he received a diploma with distinction in the painting studio of Prof. Leszek Misiak, as well as a graphic annex in the Woodcut Studio of Prof. Zbigniew Lutomski and an annex in the Drawing Studio of Prof. Teresa Kotkowska -Rzepecka. Currently, at his alma mater, he runs the Drawing Studio. In 2000, he received the Creative Scholarship of the City of Cracow, and five years later the Grazell Foundation Scholarship. In 2001, he was awarded the Grand Prix of the 35th National Painting Competition "Bielska Jesień". At the same biennial, he also won the Audience Award twice, as well as awards from Gazeta Wyborcza and Artinfo.pl in 2013. In 2007. Borcz received 1st prize at the 21st Festival of Contemporary Painting in Szczecin. Independently, the artist was also awarded and honored at other competitions and shows (including "Bielska Jesień", "Image of the Year" "Triennale of Polish Graphics" "Lexmark European Art. Prize" "Egeria" "Animalis").
