Biography
Active graffiti/street art artist since 1998. Studied at the Faculty of Architecture, Gdansk University of Technology where he defended his diploma with Dr. P. Lorens in 2009. From 2007-08 he studied at Facultaet 2 Architektur und Stadtplanung, Brandenburg Technical University, Cottbus/Germany. Since 2011, he undertook postgraduate studies at Gdansk University of Technology - Urban Spatial Development Management. From 2009-12 he was a design assistant at the Institute of Urban Design in Gdansk, and since 2012 he has been an employee of the City Aesthetics Department at the City Hall in Gdansk. He has participated in more than a hundred street art events and festivals. He is the author of many individual art projects in public spaces, abandoned buildings and degraded post-industrial areas throughout Poland, including in Bydgoszcz, Czarna, Kolbudy, Koszalin, Krakow, Lublin, Olsztyn, Poznań, Pruszcz Gdański, Sztutowo, Tri-City, Warsaw, Włocławek, Wrocław, as well as in France, Spain and Germany. In addition to painting, he also creates site-specific spatial installations, and since 2011, together with Krzysztof Syruc, he has been carrying out artistic projects using Augmented Reality technology.
An artist associated with the urban art trend, he began painting graffiti in 1998 and quickly developed his style into abstract graffiti, postgraffiti or graffuturism. Trained as an urban architect with extensive professional experience, including in landscape architecture. He works on transforming the urban landscape with artistic actions to redefine public spaces, renovate buildings and structures or revitalize post-industrial, transit and infrastructure spaces. His series of abstract urban structures painted on walls, 'Postcartography,' is widely recognized in London, where he has lived and worked on the streets of the city in previous years. The author of many solo art projects, installations, murals, facade designs and activities in abandoned places, he works mainly outdoors; he has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions and events and art festivals. 'Decorrugated' is his first solo exhibition in Gdansk.
