Literature
"The starting point for the creation of this work was the figure of Ewa Pajor - not only an outstanding soccer player, but above all a girl whose story is a symbol of determination and the power of dreams. Ewa grew up in a small town. Her first goals fell not in big stadiums, but in a rural landscape, into a makeshift goal painted with paint on a barn wall. However, in this simplicity there was great power - a desire to play, a passion and a vision that nothing could stop.
In this story, I saw a universal message that goes beyond sports: regardless of our starting point, we can build our own path toward our dream future. This message becomes especially important in the context of women and girls, who too often hear that something "isn't for them," that they should fit into imposed roles. Eve's story shows that boundaries exist only to be crossed.
The figure in the painting - running, with her arms outstretched like wings - is a metaphor for this freedom and courage. The wings, inspired by the iconography of the goddess Nike, are not only a symbol of victory, but also of rising above barriers. However, this is not a classic triumph over a rival, but a victory over doubts, stereotypes and one's own fear.
The title Nike lives in every goal contains a play of meanings: "goal" is both a goal and a target. Each of us has our own goals - sometimes clearly outlined, sometimes distant and barely discernible, like that goal on the barn wall. Each requires courage to move toward it. The dynamic lines in the background - "speedlines" - mark the track of the ball's movement, but symbolically they are the path of life, where every decision, every step becomes part of a larger path.
The technique of collage and drawing is not accidental. In it I combine fragments, textures, sketchy gestures and photographic details to tell a story that is also complex. Just like life - layered, full of contrasts, tensions and unexpected turns. It's a work about movement, strength and lightness at the same time, about transcending limitations that often exist only in our imagination.
"Nike lives in every goal" is a tribute to women who dare to dream and pursue their goals, no matter where they start. It is a story about the power of desire, which can lift a person higher than all barriers."
