MISS DORYS
She is from Płock and is based primarily in Praga North in Warsaw.
She creates street art, paintings, and illustrations in the “varicose vein” style. “Żylaki” are pink “brains with eyes” that you might encounter on city streets; they emerge from beneath cracked plaster and rusty window sills, eliciting laughter or confusion. Miss Dorys is a co-founder of the all-female street art collective Miau Kru and the Stacja Praga Association. As part of the City of Warsaw’s Artistic Fellowship, she created the album “Praski Street Art,” documenting the various stages of the aesthetic and social transformation of the city’s right bank. A psychologist and trainer by training, she works with young people, leading workshops and developing scenarios for educational games.
