RRR-, Zabor, South Prussia, Schilling 1797 E, Königsberg, EXTREMELY RARE IN MS

This denomination, struck at the Königsberg Mint, is very rare, and in mint condition it is extremely rare. Only two coins are listed in the NGC catalog. One features small date numerals, while the other is this piece with large date numerals, meaning that the coin offered here can be considered the highest-graded example of this variety. This coin is missing from most collections. This piece was listed on the auction market 9 years ago, when it sold for 4,368 PLN, which at the time was equivalent to the price of an ounce of gold. A magnificent piece for the finest collections.
