拍品說明
估計:
1 000 - 2 000 EUR
An Orientalist desert landscape depicting the arid region near Kerman (southeastern Iran/Persia). The foreground features a vast plain with local figures and pack animals, set against a dramatic, sunlit mountain range rendered in warm tones of ochre, terracotta, and soft violet.
A fine example of en plein air travel watercolor from the interwar period. The artist demonstrates strong technical skill through light, fluid washes for the sky and precise brushwork defining the topography and figures.
Signed lower right with an indistinct monogram / signature, inscribed and dated: “Kirmon [Kerman], 1934”. Watercolor on paper, 30 x 40 cm with frame .
