Monika Kargol is a painter based in Wrocław. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where she studied “Painting” in the studio of Prof. Krzysztof Wałaszek.
Art serves as her inspiration in everyday life, and painting allows her to express herself, overcome her own weaknesses, and view the world from a different perspective. The themes of her work include not only the problems of the modern world but also nature. She does not limit herself to a single theme, style, or technique. She enjoys change, and this is evident in her work. Sometimes her paintings feature a very limited color palette—calm, nostalgic, and reflective. Other times, they are full of expression, color, and various sounds. She likes to switch techniques, constantly exploring and experimenting. She is steadfast and patient in this regard, and this is reflected in her paintings. It wasn’t until adulthood that she decided to pursue the passion she’s held in her heart since childhood. Her first step was studying Computer Graphics in Wrocław from 2000 to 2002. She then honed her skills at community centers and through various courses. In 2016, she decided to begin her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Many of her works are part of private collections both in Poland and abroad.
