An analogous composition is reproduced in the album L'Ecole nationale de l'industrie du bois. Zakopane. Pologne, held in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw. Based on its formal features, it was attributed to Antoni Biegaj, a student in Roman Olszowski's class. Thus, we can conclude that Boleslaw Sztokfisz was also a student of Olszowski and, attending the same classes, carved his Zbójnicki figure.
