Jean Lambert-Rucki (born September 17, 1888, Cracow - died July 27, 1967, Paris) - prominent Polish-French sculptor, painter and printmaker, associated with École de Paris. He studied in Cracow and Paris (Académie Colarossi). From 1911 he lived permanently in France, where he was a co-founder of avant-garde art movements and was associated with the Cubist, Surrealist and Art Déco groups, among others. His works were exhibited at the Autumn Salon and L'Effort Moderne Gallery, among others. Rucki's work is characterized by an original combination of modern styles with sacred, primitivist and folk art inspirations.
