Iza Sawicka is a ceramic artist and photographer born in 1976 in Warsaw. She graduated from the Ceramiq Artistic Ceramics School and the University of Warsaw. She also studied at the Warsaw School of Photography. She is currently a student of the Open Academy in the Ceramics Studio at the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Ceramics and photography are her greatest passions and a way of life. Beginning to work in clay was like coming home for her. She creates sculptures, ceramic paintings, as well as utilitarian objects: funeral urns, washbasins, dishes. She looks for inspiration for her ceramic works in different areas of life. They often come while traveling, they are also brought by nature, art, or good design. She is fascinated by different ways of firing ceramics, especially those in which clay meets live fire.
She loves photographing people, especially women. She creates simple natural portraits with which she tries to tell the truth about a person. He makes photographic illustrations for websites.
