Warsaw Rowing Society - the oldest Polish sports society, founded in Warsaw in 1878. Due to high entry fees and dues, WTW was an elite organization, bringing together people recommended by existing members. The society's membership at the time was exclusively male, with the first women admitted to the WTW in 1936. Members of the society included Boleslaw Prus, and Henryk Sienkiewicz.
