Son of Stanislaw Szoldrski and Malgorzata Manicka of Piglowice. In 1634 he was apostolic administrator of the diocese of Cracow. Thanks to the support of King Wladyslaw IV, he was elected bishop of Poznan on January 14 , 1635 . His ingress took place on November 30, 1636. He was the originator and sponsor of the reconstruction of the Poznan cathedral after the fire of 1622.
